3D Landscape Designs

Customized to fit your unique vibe

The Design Process

This is a general timeline and can change depending on the project
*We never design with or plant regionally invasive plants!
  1. Garden consultation. 1-3 hour.

We'll meet in your future garden to go over all the details and create a vision you love. We take thorough environmental notes and detailed measurements to create a precise map of you space. We are happy to answer any plant and garden related questions during this time so please ask away!

  2. Concept Map & Plant List. 1 week

Before we just into the details of the design, we ensure that any hardscapes and landscape features we're adding to your landscape such as pergolas or fountains are in the correct place. We also create an interactive plant list for you to see photos of all the plants that will thrive in your space and fit your vibe. We give you veto power to decide which plants you absolutely need or can live without.

  3. Garden Design & Maintenance Instructions. 2-4 weeks

With all steps finished above, now it's time to get into the brushstrokes of the design process. We decide exact placement of plantings and choice of materials during this process with your sign off along the way. You have three iterations of this design to make changes before the final design is in your hands. The final design package comes with personalized care instructions for your future plantings.

  4. Design Review. 1-2 hours

We'll talk through the plant selection and your landscape design. We will go over all the details in the design so you can easily imagine the final garden. This helps us decide on some edits if necessary to ensure you are happy with the final design.

Post Design Project Management

If you need more professional help beyond your design, we've got you!
The following are ways we ensure our client's design is perfectly installed.
*Communication is our commitment. We make sure you're content with each part of the project before the next phase begins.
  1. Plant Procurement & Placement

Now you have your design, the names of all the plants and plant quantities. We order from wholesale nurseries which saves you 25% on plant cost if you went to the nursery. We schedule the delivery to your home and place the plants in their precise location, ensuring the design comes to life as intended.

  2. Contractor Scheduling & Supervision

We have a handful of trusted contractors we work with to install hardscape, irrigation, fences, water features, and plantings. We create a timeline for the contractors to do their work which will ensure each step is building on the last and line up all the work according to your needs. We meet with the contractor separately to go over the design and scope of the project. Once work begins, we are on site day one to give instructions and we do checkins throughout the project if there are many features to install.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

This is a general timeline and can change depending on the project
*We never include regionally invasive plants!

1) Garden consultation. 1 hour.
We'll meet in your future garden to go over all the details and create a vision you love. We take thorough notes and detailed measurements to create a precise sketch of your space.

 2) Optional: Trip to plant nursery(ies). 1-4 hours. If you choose and it's the right season (lower selection of plants October - February), we'll meet at local nurseries to gawk at plants so you can see which ones strike a chord in you. I'll be sure to include them in your design as much as possible.

3) Garden design. 2-4 weeks. With notes in hand, we will design a well-curated plant selection and craft a precise plan for how your outdoor space will look.

4) Design review. 1-2 hours. We'll talk through the plant selection and your landscape design. We will go over all the details in the design so you can easily imagine the final garden. This helps us decide on some edits if necessary to ensure you are happy with the final design.

5)
Plant and material procurement. 8+ hours. After finalizing the plant and materials list, we contact local nurseries to source the best plants and soil available. We order, pick up, and deliver to your house. Or if possible, we'll coordinate when a nursery can deliver plants and gardening materials, then meet at your house to unload them for you.

6) Site preparation and planting. 20+ hours depending on size of project. We take care of placing each precious plant. And to ensure your plants are off to their best start, we amend the soil to meet each plant's special needs. To keep your plants looking radiant, mulching and fertilization are included as well.
